Drama as church members curse new landowner as he demolish their church on the land he bought

A church has been demolished after the owner of a newly purchased land reportedly tore down the building.
The incident sparked outrage among members of the congregation, some of whom have taken to social media to express their anger.
A church member, who documented the aftermath in a viral video, laid curses on the landowner.
She said, “By the grace of God you’d forever regret you brought this land in Jesus name. Look at how you demolished our church. Not from government o but the owners of the land in our estate. That’s how their lives will be demolished also. Sickness they don’t know about will find them.”
Anger and spiritual backlash
The woman continued, accusing the landowner of failing to honour God with the land.
“Since you bought the land and you can’t give it to the church to give glory to God, you can’t use the money you did not use to give God glory to do something reasonable. All the places you use motor to go too, you’ll trek there. I don’t know you but God knows you. You that did God’s house anyhow, you will not make it in Jesus name.”
Community reacts online
The video has since gone viral, prompting discussions about land ownership, church rights, and ethical responsibility.
Some social media users sympathised with the church members, while others insisted the landowner had every legal right to demolish structures on his property.
The incident has reignited debates over property disputes and religious tolerance in residential estates across Nigeria.
