“Don’t stop your work for any man”— Lady says men are manipulative by nature
A woman has sparked conversation online after sharing a blunt warning to women about relying entirely on men financially, describing such situations as a common tool of manipulation.
According to her, it often starts with sweet promises and reassurance. She explained that some men initially encourage women to stop working, insisting they should relax while being taken care of “like a princess,” focus on the home, and raise the children while the man provides.
From “I’ll take care of you” to financial control
However, she noted that the narrative usually changes once the woman becomes financially dependent.
“When you finally stop working, what you’ll start hearing is how hard he works to take care of the house, how difficult it is to make money, and how ungrateful you are,” she said.
The lady added that financial control can gradually extend to other areas of life, including restricting visits to family members and monitoring daily spending, even down to asking for food money.
Sweet promises turn into power and restrictions
She warned that such control often comes disguised as care and responsibility, stressing that women should never abandon their source of income completely.
“If you say I want to see my mom, he’ll say no, wait till next month.. he go too control you. Men are manipulative o. No go stop your work o… Lady says men are manipulative in nature,” she said, advising women to maintain independence to protect their freedom and dignity.
