Don’t marry a woman legally until you’ve lived with her for 5 years and she has given you children – Nigerian man

A Nigerian man has stirred intense reactions online after sharing his views on marriage, urging men not to legally wed a woman until they have lived together for at least five years and had children.

In his post, he advised men to carefully observe their prospective partner’s family background, particularly her mother, claiming it could offer insight into her future tendencies.

He further suggested that after paying bride price or conducting a traditional wedding, couples should cohabit for years before considering legal marriage.

According to him, legalizing the union should only come after the woman has proven to be “peaceful, supportive, faithful” and has had one or two children.

He also claimed that many women “pretend” before marriage and that time is the only true test of character.

Ayo Ayorinde said

“Check the mother of your WIFE TO BE wellyou would get some clue about her tendencies.

Howbeit, I THINK MEN SHOULD START LIVING WITH NOWADAYS WOMEN FIRST, after the BRIDE PRICE/TRADITIONAL WEDDING HAS BEEN CONDUCTED.

After say 5years, if she is peacefull, supportive, faithful and has given you one or two children, YOU MAY THEN GO AHEAD TO MARRY HER LEGALLY, THAT IS IF SHE INSIST ON LEGAL MARRIAGE.
