“Don’t marry a broke man at 35, he won’t make it” – Lady advises women on dating choices

A Nigerian lady has sparked intense reactions online after sharing her opinion on dating and marriage, particularly regarding men in their 30s without a stable income.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she advised women in their dating phase to be mindful of the kind of men they choose, stressing financial stability as a key factor.
In her words, she said:
“As a lady that is in her dating phase, please know this, a man’s biological prime starts and ends from 20 to 40. If he is 30, 35, or close to 40 and he doesn’t have a stable income, please do not date or marry him.”
She went further to state that men within that age range who are not financially stable may struggle to achieve success later in life, urging women not to take such risks.
The lady also compared societal expectations placed on women’s age and “prime” to men’s financial status, insisting that both should be considered seriously when choosing a partner.
“A man that is 35 or heading to 40 without a strong income, please don’t marry that kind of man. There is every possibility he might not make it. Just like they say a woman at 30 has passed her prime, that’s how a broke man at 30 to 40 will hardly make it,” she added.
Her statement has triggered mixed reactions online, with many sharing differing opinions on the topic.
One user wrote, “Money is important, no doubt, but life no be timetable. Some people blow at 45.” Another added, “But she still has a point, suffering no sweet o.”
