“Don’t let your female secretary cook your tea” — Paul Enenche’s wife warns men

The wife of Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche, founder of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has advised married men to establish clear boundaries in their relationships with female secretaries and personal assistants to protect their marriages.
She gave the advice in a viral video while addressing the issue of workplace relationships, warning men against allowing professional relationships with female colleagues to interfere with their responsibilities to their wives.

According to her, although women can be efficient secretaries, married men must exercise wisdom and avoid situations that could create unnecessary closeness or threaten their marital relationships.
‘Don’t let anybody take the place of your wife’
In the video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Enenche’s wife urged men to pay attention to their communication patterns and ensure that no other woman receives more attention from them than their wives.
“By the time there’s somebody’s text message that is entering your phone more than your wife’s text message, query, query, query. Make efforts to protect yourself,” she said.
She further encouraged men to be deliberate about maintaining boundaries in their professional relationships.
“Please don’t let anybody take the place of your wife,” she added.
The pastor’s wife also cautioned against situations in which female secretaries spend unnecessary time attending to their male employers’ personal needs.
Using the preparation of tea as an example, she suggested that what might appear to be a simple workplace responsibility could lead to excessive personal interaction.
She said men whose secretaries are women should ensure that appropriate boundaries are maintained.
“If your secretary is a woman, just ensure you have boundaries and don’t let them cook your tea,” she said.
Paul Enenche explains his position on female secretaries
Speaking after his wife handed him the microphone, Pastor Paul Enenche acknowledged the widespread perception that women are particularly suited to secretarial duties, attributing this to their attention to detail.
He, however, disclosed that he had never employed a female secretary or personal assistant in his 30 years of experience.
“I have never had one for 30 years either as a secretary or as a PA. That’s personal decision, right?” he said.
Explaining his observation about women’s performance in secretarial roles, Enenche said attention to detail was one of the qualities many people associated with female secretaries.
He noted that some secretaries could make repeated mistakes in official correspondence, even after corrections had been made.
However, the cleric stressed that his wife’s broader advice was about protecting oneself and avoiding situations that could be prevented.
“Ensure that you protect yourself and whatever is avoidable, let it be avoided,” he said.
