Donnarumma reaches agreement with preferred EPL club after PSG exit

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has agreed personal terms with Manchester City, according to French outlet L’Equipe.
This follows the French club’s decision to part ways with him this summer.
The 26-year-old Italy international, whose contract expires next year, was left out of PSG’s Super Cup squad to face Tottenham as he seeks a new team.
City are reportedly waiting for Ederson to complete his move to Galatasaray before submitting a formal bid.
Manchester United had also expressed interest, but talks stalled as the club failed to offload Andre Onana.
Donnarumma had held discussions with both United and City, but is understood to have chosen Pep Guardiola’s side after direct talks with the manager.
PSG have already signed his replacement, Lucas Chevalier, from Lille for €40 million plus €15 million in add-ons.
Speaking ahead of the Super Cup, PSG coach Luis Enrique accepted responsibility for the decision, describing Donnarumma as “one of the best goalkeepers in the world” but explaining it was based on the profile his team needed.
Donnarumma’s agent, Enzo Raiola, has since criticised PSG’s handling of recent contract talks, saying there had been “zero respect” from the club despite four years together.
