Donnarumma agent threaten legal action over PSG axing

Gianluigi Donnarumma’s agent, Enzo Raiola, has threatened legal action against Paris Saint-Germain after the Italy goalkeeper was dropped from the squad by manager Luis Enrique.
Donnarumma was left out of PSG’s Super Cup squad to face Tottenham on Wednesday (today), with Enrique citing the need for a “different profile” in goal.
Raiola described the decision as “a huge lack of respect,” alleging that the club changed its stance despite recent talks over a contract renewal.
According to Raiola, negotiations had progressed before the Club World Cup, with PSG indicating their willingness to extend Donnarumma’s stay.
However, he said the situation shifted abruptly in the last ten days, prompting him to seek legal advice to clarify the club’s position.
Lucas Chevalier, signed from Lille, is expected to replace Donnarumma, who is now linked with a move to the Premier League.
Raiola said Manchester City and Manchester United are possible destinations, although a transfer could hinge on City offloading Ederson.
Donnarumma, 25, joined PSG in 2021 and helped the club win last season’s Champions League.
