Donald Trump administration revokes over 6,000 student visas

The United States has revoked over 6,000 student visas since January 2025, with details emerging.

According to US State Department officials, 4,000 of the 6,000 revoked student visas were canceled due to assault, driving under the influence,  burglary and support for terrorism.

Furthermore, student visa and green card holders expressing support for Palestinians and criticizing Israel’s conduct in the Gaza war risk deportation, deeming their actions a threat to US foreign policy.

This development follows a warning issued by the US Embassy to immigrant students regarding circumstances that could lead to their visa revocation.

Notably, the Trump administration has  introduced stricter visa policies, including enhanced social media vetting for visa applicants.
