“Depression caused me to start drinking” – Hanks Anuku speaks on health condition

Hanks Anuku, a seasoned Nollywood actor, has disclosed that he started drinking because he went into depression.

The actor has shared a video responding to claims that he became severely addicted to drugs.

It’s no longer news that Anuku has been the target of drug-related rumours in recent times, mostly because of his unsettling new appearance.

However, the actor unequivocally declared that he doesn’t use narcotics in a video posted to his Instagram story. He went on to say that he had turned to alcohol for comfort when he was depressed.

Anuku’s depression is a result of the struggles he is facing. He displayed a plot of land he bought in Abuja for his film school in the video, but he has struggled to raise the necessary finances, so the site has been left fallow for years.

The actor was upbeat about God’s favour as well, saying that everyone will gain when God eventually gives assistance to him.
