Davido reflects on family’s longstanding educational ties abroad
Afrobeats star Davido has spoken about his family’s long history of studying overseas, saying international education has been part of his family’s background for generations.
Speaking in a recent interview, Davido revealed that his grandfather was a senator who ensured all his children studied abroad.
He added that his father attended school in Kentucky, while his parents first met in London before his mother later obtained a master’s degree at Clark University in the United States.
According to the singer, his family’s connection to the United States and overseas education predates his own success, stressing that living and studying abroad is not new to his family.
