Daliwonga Matiwane, born on June 4, 1994, in Diepkloof, Soweto, Gauteng Province, South Africa, developed a love of music at a young age. Daliwonga has a twin brother, Dalindyebo, and both are active in music. He attended Fons Luminus Secondary School and graduated in 2012. His early exposure to music and talent were evident from a young age, prompting him to make his debut in 2019 with the smash single “Uyang’testa.”
Career
Daliwonga’s music career began in April 2020, when he signed with BlaqBoy Music, a record company run by DJ Maphorisa, and released the EP “Uyang’testa”. His music career has been defined by critical acclaim and commercial success, with his second EP “Chameleon” debuting at number one on the iTunes South Africa chart.
Daliwonga’s efforts in the music industry have earned him nominations for multiple prizes, including the South African Music Awards (SAMA), the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA), and the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA).
Daliwonga has been delighting his devoted fans and admirers with good tunes for around three years. His first hit song was released in 2019, and the great vocalist has used it to release hotter and hit songs, as well as drop other albums under DJ Maphorisa’s record company BlaqBoy Music.
