Couple shares emotional documentary of twins’ birth after 10-year wait
A Nigerian couple has moved many to tears after releasing a deeply emotional documentary detailing the birth of their twins, Naku and Zisa, following a decade-long wait for children.
The couple narrated their journey from the day of their wedding, through the years of unanswered prayers, to the long-awaited arrival of their babies.
According to them, the pressure from family and neighbours began almost immediately after their wedding, with constant questions and side comments about when they would start having children. What began as days stretched into weeks, months, and eventually ten years before their prayers were finally answered.
Four surgeries, two babies
In the documentary, the husband recounted how his wife gave birth through a caesarean section, a moment he described as the scariest of his life. He insisted on being present in the theatre, where what was meant to be a joyous moment quickly turned into a battle for survival.
Shortly after delivery, his wife was rushed into emergency surgery. The couple revealed that she underwent four major operations in her first days after childbirth. They shared that only their faith and unwavering love for each other kept them strong as doctors worked tirelessly to save her life.
Sharing the video on YouTube, they wrote: “After a decade of longing for a child, our dream finally came true. But our joy was shattered when my wife was rushed into emergency surgery immediately after birth. This video is the raw testimony of our journey through four agonizing surgeries in her first days of life. We held onto our faith and each other as doctors fought to save her. Our story is proof that a love anchored in faith can survive any storm.”
Their story has since touched thousands of viewers, who have flooded the comments section with messages of encouragement, prayers, and admiration for their resilience.
