COOU graduate honours late coursemates who passed on in final year

A fresh graduate of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Anambra State, has paid a touching tribute to two late coursemates during his sign-out celebration.

The young man, identified on TikTok as @bbigjay_001 and described as the President of the National Association of Political Science Students, COOU Chapter, honoured the memory of Calista and Chibuike, who both died in their final year before they could graduate.

In a heartfelt gesture, he signed his name on a flex banner bearing their photographs, writing a message that acknowledged the pain of their loss while accepting the inevitability of death.

“During our Sign out Celebration, I took out time to recognize and sign on my deceased coursemates, Calista and Chibuike, two of them left in this our final year. It’s painful mehn… but death, they say, is inevitable. Rip Cally. Rip Chief Priest. Congratulations on your sign out,” he wrote.

The emotional video quickly gained traction on TikTok, drawing sympathetic and tearful reactions from viewers who praised his act of remembrance.
