Close associate of Segun Johnson disclaims ex-girlfriend breakup allegations, shares details

A close associate and friend of popular musician Segun Johnson have spoken out to disclaim breakup claims made by his alleged ex-girlfriend following her viral allegations.

This follows a TikTok video by a lady named @debrakin, in which she claimed that their 13-year relationship ended abruptly, accusing him of deceit and using her.

She alleged that the entertainer ended their long-term relationship via a voice note after she relocated from the UK to Nigeria for him.

However, Segun’s friend insist the full story is different. According to him:

“She went to Nigeria for makeup tutorials for three months and then came back, saying she wanted to be closer to Segun. Meanwhile, Segun has been very supportive of her.”

They further stated that Segun had financially supported her throughout the relationship — paying her school fees and rent in the UK, covering her rent on the Island earlier this year, and even giving her money to set herself up.

Segun reportedly made it clear to her countless times that he could not marry her, and it was never implied otherwise.

He also alleged that Debrakin had vowed that if he did not marry her, she would seek to bring him down.

“Believe her at your own risk,” the associate added, urging the public to be cautious before accepting the allegations as fact.

The development has sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans calling on Segun to share his side of the story, while others expressed shock over the alleged breakup and the conflicting narratives.
