Chukwueze arrives Super Eagles camp ahead of final Cairo training

Samuel Chukwueze has finally linked up with the Super Eagles camp in Cairo as Nigeria continue preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Fulham forward arrived too late to be considered for Tuesday night’s international friendly against Egypt, where 17 players from Nigeria’s final 28-man AFCON squad were handed game time.
With the team set to depart for Fes, Morocco, on Thursday, the Super Eagles now have 26 players in camp in Egypt.

Squad numbers swell in Cairo
Goalkeepers Francis Uzoho, Stanley Nwabali and Amas Obasogie are all present, alongside outfield players Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Semi Ajayi, Ademola Lookman, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Igho Ogbu, Tochukwu Nnadi, Zaidu Sanusi, Paul Onuachu, Frank Onyeka, Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi.
Others in camp include Wilfred Ndidi, Bruno Onyemaechi, Cyriel Dessers, Akor Adams, Chidera Ejuke, Raphael Onyedika, Ryan Alebiosu, Salim Fago Lawal, Chidozie Awaziem, Usman Muhammed and the latest arrival, Chukwueze.
Osimhen, Simon still expected
According to the Super Eagles’ media team, Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen and Paris FC winger Moses Simon are expected to link up with the squad shortly, completing the full complement ahead of the tournament in Morocco.
The Super Eagles will hold two training sessions on Wednesday, with a gym workout scheduled for 11:00 am, followed by an on-pitch session at 5:00 pm, as head coach Eric Chelle fine-tunes preparations ahead of the AFCON opener.
