Chizzy Alichi (born December 23, 1993) is the stage name for Nigerian Chigozie Stephanie Alichi. She is an accomplished Nigerian actress, filmmaker, and model. She is a native of Ezza Nkwubor Nike in Enugu East, a region in South-East Nigeria.
Chizzy Alichi is one of Nollywood’s most popular celebrities thanks to her outstanding performance in Magic Money, which also starred Mercy Johnson and Bob-Manuel Udokwu.

Alichi is from Ezza Nkwubor Nike in Enugu East, a local government area in Enugu State, Southeast Nigeria. She is the last kid among two siblings. In 2017, she made headlines by building a mansion for her parents. She lives in Asaba, Delta. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from Enugu State University of Science and Technology.
However, while at university, she dabbled in acting, and after graduation, she decided to pursue a career in the entertainment sector.
Career
Chizzy Alichi began her acting career in late 2010, when she enlisted with the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) in Enugu.
She has acted in over 180 Nollywood films. She has appeared in several films, including The Drop of Blood, Throne of Glory, Akaraoku, and many others. The lovely Nigerian actress has also appeared in other blockbuster films alongside Yul Edochie, Ken Erics, Zubby Michael, Destiny Etiko, and Mercy Johnson, among others.
The film Akaraoku, which means “hot akara”, directed by Yul Edochie in 2016, marked a watershed moment in her career. The movie poster went viral on social media when some imagined the actress was selling akara. She appeared in more films as a result in 2017.
She has earned awards for Best New Actress at the City People Entertainment Awards, Most Promising Actress at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, and Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.

Chizzy Alichi married her long-term boyfriend, Chike Ugochukwu Mbah, in December 2019. Chike Ugochukwu Mbah is an adept entrepreneur, film producer, director, and philanthropist.
He is involved in a variety of companies, including import and export. He has also invested in land, owning plots in the Federal Capital Territory, Imo State, Lagos, and other parts of Nigeria.
Their wedding in Enugu State was attended by celebrities, including Patience Ozokwor and Judy Austin. Chizzy Alichi welcomed her first baby, Kenechukwu, on April 25, 2025.
