Chef Dammy reacts to reports on not registering cookathon with Guinness Records

Notable Nigerian culinarian, chef Dammy responds to Guinness World Records’ report regarding her 120-hour cook-a-thon attempt.

Reports had earlier circulated that chef Dammy did not formally apply to the recording authority before undertaking the challenge to surpass her compatriot Hilda Baci’s cooking record.

In a statement on her official Facebook page, the Ekiti Chef clarified that her intention with the 120-hour cook-a-thon was to push her abilities rather than aiming to break any records. She expressed her happiness for persevering and not giving up.

“I stated this earlier that I embarked on this journey to test my capability not for any GWR.. l am happy that I cooked for 120 hours. I am proud that I never gave up,” she said.

It is worth noting that the chef surpassed the record of Hilda Baci’s awarded 93-hour for the longest cooking time. She has since been awarded many gifts and financial support from Nigerians who applauded her effort.
