Chaos as Newcastle, PSG fans clash ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League showdown

In less than 24 hours before their crucial Champions League clash, a brawl broke out between Newcastle and PSG fans in Paris.

Newcastle supporters claimed that some diehard PSG fans, known as PSG ultras, stormed into a restaurant, creating a chaotic scene, throwing chairs, and smashed glasses.

The confrontation is said to have unfolded in front of families and children, causing panic among those present at the eatery.

Some video footage on social media shows a group, believed to be Newcastle fans, trapped inside a pub as chairs and drinks are thrown at the entrance of the restaurant by both sets of supporters.

There were also Red flares, with smoke making visibility difficult. The Sun UK reported that the situation escalated quickly, even with the presence of little children.

The incident occurred just before the crucial Champions League group stage match, where Newcastle needs a victory to have a chance of qualifying for the knockout round.

Both teams are fighting to advance from Group F, into the final 16.
