CAF grants free e-Visas to fans ahead of AFCON Morocco 2025

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee have announced that fans attending the tournament will be eligible for free electronic visas.

The competition is scheduled to run from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

Fans can apply for e-Visas and fan IDs via YALLA App‏

The new policy applies to citizens of countries that normally require a visa to enter Morocco, and is aimed at ensuring a seamless and secure experience for international visitors.

Electronic visas to enter Morocco, obtained through the YALLA app, are now free of charge for supporters attending the competition,” CAF stated.

Fans are required to obtain two key documents for entry: a Fan ID and an e-visa.

The Fan ID is mandatory for entry to stadiums and official Fan Areas. CAF explained that both the Fan ID and e-visa requests can be completed in one place via the YALLA app, streamlining travel and stadium access.

Supporters can apply for both the Fan ID and e-visa in one simple process, ensuring faster and secure access to the event,” a CAF spokesperson said.

Morocco to host 24 teams across six cities

With Morocco hosting the tournament for the first time since 1988, the African football festival will take place across nine stadiums in six cities.

A total of 24 teams are expected to participate, with fans from across the continent and beyond expected to attend.

CAF also encouraged fans to download the YALLA app from Google Play or the App Store or visit the official YALLA website to complete their Fan ID and e-visa applications.

Once approved, tickets can be purchased through the CAF ticketing platform.

By providing free electronic visas and an integrated Fan ID process, we aim to enhance the fan experience and welcome football enthusiasts to witness Africa’s biggest football event,” the statement added.

The announcement comes as ticket demand for AFCON Morocco 2025 grows, with supporters eager to attend the tournament and watch the next generation of African football stars in action.
