BREAKING: Court sentences Funke Akindele, husband to 14 days community service, N100k fine each

A Magistrate court sitting in Ogba, Lagos state has sentenced Funke Akindele and her husband Abdulrasheed Bello to 14 days community service each.

The court also directed them to pay a fine of N100,000 each.

Funke Akindele and her husband had over the weekend held a house party which breaks the lockdown rules.

Lagos State police said they have intensified “efforts to arrest the remaining persons in the video”.

Following the furore, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and cleaning products company Dettol have distanced themselves from Akindele, saying she hold no official ambassadorial position with them, despite appearing on the video they produced together.
