BBNaija star Queen Mercy had a terrifying start to her day when part of her sitting room POP ceiling collapsed early this morning.
Family narrowly escapes injury after ceiling collapse
The star revealed she had been working late into the night, picking up her friend for a Guinness World Record project and shooting all through the night due to limited time.
She returned home around 4 a.m. to find her younger sister and nanny still awake sewing.
The two narrowly avoided injury when the ceiling fell. “They both literally had to run for their lives,” Mercy shared, expressing relief that everyone in her home was safe.
Mercy explained that her immediate concern was for her friend and nanny, who were upstairs at the time.
She recounted asking her mother about their safety, and upon hearing they were unharmed, her blood pressure eased. This was the second near-miss at her home in recent weeks, following a similar incident in her garage.
Balancing family safety and Guinness World Record project
“This morning, in the middle of all this, I’m planning my girl’s Guinness World Record project, which kicks off this Friday. My brain is literally everywhere,” she wrote.
Despite the morning’s chaos, Mercy remains grateful. She reflected on the need to move her family to a safer space while continuing to oversee the project.
The star is thankful for protection and divine intervention, highlighting the fragility of life and the importance of gratitude.
As she continues to coordinate the Guinness World Record project, the star remains optimistic, focusing on her family and upcoming milestones, showing resilience even in stressful circumstances.
