Barcelona set August 10 for Spotify Camp Nou reopening

After more than two years away, Barcelona have officially confirmed their return to the Spotify Camp Nou will take place on August 10.

This marks the long-awaited reopening of their iconic home stadium.

Renovation work on the Camp Nou began in June 2023, forcing the club to temporarily relocate to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.

Although initial plans targeted a November 2024 comeback, multiple delays pushed the return further, until now.

In a video released via the club’s official channels on Wednesday, Barça confirmed the Joan Gamper Trophy will serve as the curtain-raiser for their renovated stadium.

The match will feature Como, the Italian Serie A side co-owned by former Blaugrana midfielder Cesc Fabregas, as the opposition.

While excitement is high, the venue will operate at reduced capacity as construction continues.

Full capacity at the revamped Camp Nou is not expected until 2026.
