Barcelona reportedly make preliminary move for Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes

Barcelona have reportedly initiated contact with representatives of Manchester United playmaker Bruno Fernandes.

According to reports, the Catalan side are exploring the possibility of a summer transfer for the Portuguese.

This move comes as the Barcelona hopes to operate under La Liga’s 1:1 financial rule, which would lift their current spending restrictions.

Football Espana reported that Sporting director Deco, a compatriot of Fernandes, is keen on bringing the star to Spain.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich have also expressed interest, indicating that Fernandes could be a hot commodity in the upcoming transfer window.

Despite a relatively subdued 2023/24 campaign, Fernandes remains one of Premier League’s top attacking midfielders.

While Fernandes’ talent is undeniable, questions arise about whether he fits Barcelona’s immediate needs, especially given his age of 29.
