Asari Dokubo blasts Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo over alleged Christian genocide claims

Former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo has issued a strong warning to Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo over his repeated claims of Christian genocide in Nigeria amid growing insecurity crises.
In a video shared on social media, Dokubo warned that placing a curse on the plateau pastor the same way he has been cursing others would end his life within 24 hours, describing him as fake and a liar.
He criticized individuals who exploit religion to spread false narratives, noting that there is hardly any crisis in the North that is rooted in religion, questioning why farmers in Sokoto and Kebbi are still being killed by bandits if the violence were truly religiously motivated.
Dokubo expressed frustration over the spread of misinformation, particularly referencing comments made by U.S. President Donald Trump, saying that such pronouncements have triggered more hate in Nigeria than they have solved any problems.
“I listen to so many people and sometimes I get angry, because they deliberately lie and claim to be men of God. Maybe they are playing with God. You are not the only person who can talk rubbish,” he added.
On the issue of linking political leaders to religious crises, Dokubo questioned the accuracy of such claims, pointing out that fear and tribal conflicts are often misrepresented as religious conflicts.
He also warned against blaming President Tinubu, emphasizing that the president is innocent of the ongoing crisis and has no hand in it.
He concluded by condemning individuals who misinform the public and urged Nigerians to seek the real truth about conflicts, emphasizing that the government has first-hand information about what is happening.
