He was born on November 27, 1948, in Ukpo, Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State. He is a prince from a typical royal dynasty. His older brother, Igwe Robert Eze, is the ruler of Ukpo, a town in Dunukofia.

Arthur Eze went to St. Augustine Secondary School in Nkwere, Imo State, in 1970. After finishing secondary school, he attended California State University from 1974 to 1978, where he studied Mechanical and Chemical Engineering.

Business Ventures

Arthur Eze launched Atlas Oranto Petroleum in 1991, and it is now Nigeria’s largest privately held oil and gas corporation. Prince Arthur Eze, also known as “Ozoigbondu” – a traditional title bestowed upon him.

He is more than a businessman; he is royalty, a philanthropist, a political figure, and a visionary industrialist. He is the founder and CEO of Atlas Oranto Petroleum, Nigeria’s largest privately held oil exploration business and Africa’s largest holder of oil exploration blocks, with 22 licenses spread across the continent.

Atlas Oranto has regional offices throughout the key West African countries, with its primary technical location in Lagos, Nigeria, and its headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria.

Following Nigerian airline deregulation a year after founding Atlas Oranto, the business magnate created Triax Airlines in 1992. Triax Airlines, which operated from Enugu Airport and had three Boeing 727s, folded in 2000.

Politics In his home state of Anambra, Prince Arthur Eze is known as a “godfather” of state politics. He was instrumental in the formation of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in his living room, and he has been a prominent political supporter in Anambra State.

Numerous politicians have attributed their success to his smart endorsements and financial support. After Emmanuel Anosike’s annulment, he sponsored Senator Joy Emordi in 2005. He is also said to be a party that supports candidates he believes have the qualities to rule Anambra State.
