Arsenal linked with shock move for Rashford, as other EPL clubs rally

Arsenal could emerge as contenders for the signing of Marcus Rashford after uncertainty over the forward’s future at Barcelona.
The England international spent last season on loan in Spain, where he rediscovered form and scored 14 goals, but reports suggest Barcelona are reluctant to activate a £26 million option to make the move permanent due to financial constraints.
That development has reportedly alerted several clubs across Europe, including Arsenal.
Barcelona future in doubt
Rashford enjoyed a productive campaign under Hansi Flick and is understood to be happy in Catalonia.

However, Barcelona’s summer spending plans have become increasingly complicated following major investments elsewhere, leaving doubts over whether the club will proceed with a permanent deal.
Sporting director Deco recently praised Rashford’s contribution during his loan spell.
“Marcus has helped us a lot because he came on loan, it is not easy to come on loan as a player like him because he is a top player,” Deco told BBC Sport.
“He helped us a lot because he had the responsibility to replace Raphinha, it is not easy but he did very well.”
Arsenal considering attacking reinforcements
According to reports, Rashford’s representatives believe Arsenal could explore a move if the financial conditions are favourable.
The speculation comes as manager Mikel Arteta pushes for significant additions following Arsenal’s Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
Arteta recently stressed the need for decisive action in the transfer market.
“We start to make some very important decisions if we want to reach another level,” he said.
“And we’re going to have to show that ambition because we are more than capable of doing it, but it’s going to demand to be very, very ambitious, very fast and very smart.”
Competition expected for signature
Arsenal are not the only club monitoring the situation.
Reports suggest Chelsea FC and Bayern Munich are also keeping tabs on Rashford as he prepares to determine his next move.
While Arsenal’s priority remains strengthening several areas of the squad, Rashford’s Premier League experience and recent resurgence could make him an attractive option if he becomes available this summer.
