Arne Slot tipped to win first Premier League title with Liverpool next season

Dutch football legend Johnny Rep believes Arne Slot can win his first Premier League title with Liverpool next season.

Slot who is set to replace departing manager Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, has garnered praise for his coaching style.

“Arne has what it takes to fill Klopp’s big boots and it’s possible he will win the Premier League in his first year,” Rep said confidently.

The former player who enjoyed a successful career with the Netherlands national team in 1970s and won two European Cup titles at Ajax, believes Slot can replicate his Feyenoord’s achievements at Liverpool.

“Arne was influenced by Johan Cruyff’s Total Football and, as a consequence, loves to set his teams up to attack and goes on the front foot with a lot of players.

“But even though the offensive side of his game is the one that stands out, his teams are defensively adept, too,” Rep added.
