APC members protest in Anambra, send message to Tinubu

Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State have taken to the streets to protest what they describe as deliberate exclusion from recent federal appointments.
The aggrieved party members say they have been sidelined despite contributing to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.
A video of the demonstration, shared by political commentator Chuks Eric E on X (formerly Twitter), captured dozens of protesters marching with placards.
Their messages were bold and direct, demanding their “fair share” of newly announced ministerial, ambassadorial and board appointments.
APC Members Demand Inclusion
The protesters insisted that, although Anambra remains a stronghold of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), APC members in the state worked tirelessly during the 2023 elections.
They argued that their efforts, mobilisations and votes played a meaningful role in boosting Tinubu’s overall numbers.
According to them, loyal party supporters who sacrificed resources and influence should not be abandoned when key positions are being shared.
They warned that persistent exclusion would not only demoralise members but could also weaken the APC’s already fragile presence in the Southeast.
Rising Tension Ahead of Future Elections
Party insiders say the protest reflects growing internal dissatisfaction within APC structures across the Southeast region.
Many believe that the federal leadership must urgently address these grievances to prevent the erosion of grassroots support, especially with future elections approaching.
