Lady questions behaviour of young boys
Reacting to the encounter, the woman expressed frustration over what she described as a growing lack of respect among younger boys, particularly those who believe that having money gives them the confidence to approach older women.
She said: “All these small, small children, young, young boys, 13, 14, 15, 16 to 18 years, una chop witch? Na question I come ask una, una chop witch?
“Because una don dey see small, small change, una no dey no senior again. Very mannerless set of children. Una chop witch? Na him I want know, una chop witch?
“Wey be say, una see who senior you, wey be say them and your mama dey drag age. You look the person, you go cross her.
“Me God punish one, make one enter my trap. You go chop am wotowoto. Nonsense.”
The woman’s reaction suggested that she was particularly displeased by the perceived boldness of younger boys who approach older women without considering the age difference.
Mixed reactions trail woman’s comments
The video has generated different opinions online, with some commenters linking the incident to changing relationship dynamics and the influence of money on young people.
Miguel questioned why women were complaining about younger men approaching them, recalling allegations that some teenage girls lie about their ages to date or marry older men.
He wrote: “E reach men turn now Una Dey complain. Where una Dey wey all these girls of 14-18 dey lie about their age just to date and marry men of 30plus?”
Nuel criticised what he described as a decline in self-respect among women, citing an alleged incident involving a younger man and an older woman.
He wrote: “Your genders follow money and forget about their self respect. This days small boy of 19years done slap a girl of 26years and she is still tell him sorry in the name of relationship.”
Oron boy, however, suggested that some young men were more interested in pursuing relationships than showing respect to older women.
He wrote: “Forget respect madam dem no det see small for toto matter leave talk which one be because money una Dey talk for this social media oo.”
Others blame money and changing relationship expectations
Romahn argued that women who previously emphasised the importance of money in relationships should not be surprised when younger men with money begin to approach them.
He wrote: “Na still una say “na money be man.”. now boys don get the money, so respect them, dem be man !!!”
Osama also criticised what he described as conflicting expectations from women regarding relationships with older and younger men.
He wrote: “These women are confused. If an Older guy wants a relationship with them, then he’s a predator. If a younger guy wants a relationship with them, then he is disrespectful. FEMINISM WELDONE O.”
Michael, meanwhile, blamed the alleged behaviour on the influence of internet fraud, commonly referred to as Yahoo, among young people.
He wrote: “Yahoo don spoil plenty things for this generation. These boys no wan respect elders again 😂💔”
