“After following her, he told us…” Lady recounts embarrassing experience with friend’s date

A Nigerian lady has shared an embarrassing experience she and her friends encountered after accompanying their friend to a date, only to be asked to wait outside.

In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @ dammiedammie35, she revealed that their friend was meeting the man for the first time and didn’t feel comfortable going alone.

To feel safer, she went with four of her friends, who decided to stay nearby while the date took place.

In her words, she said:

“We followed our friend because she was scared. When we got there, the guy told us to sit outside and wait. He said he invited her, not us”

The unexpected request reportedly left the group feeling awkward and embarrassed, as they had not anticipated being excluded so bluntly.

While their friend proceeded with the date, the others remained outside, waiting.

The story has since generated mixed reactions online. One user asked, “Why follow someone on a date in the first place?” Another commented, “He’s not wrong. He invited only one person,”

The incident has sparked debate about dating boundaries and safety, with many agreeing that clearer communication beforehand could have prevented the uncomfortable situation.
