AFCON 2025: Super Eagles retain XI for Algeria quarter-final clash

Nigeria have named an unchanged starting lineup for their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final against Algeria, with head coach Éric Chelle opting for continuity ahead of the high-stakes encounter in Marrakech.
The match will kick off at 5pm local time at the Marrakesh Stadium, with a place in the semi-finals on the line.
Chelle’s decision follows Nigeria’s emphatic 4-0 win over Mozambique in the round of 16, a result that reinforced the team’s growing confidence.

Captain Wilfred Ndidi continues to anchor the midfield, supported by Frank Onyeka and Alex Iwobi, while the attacking responsibility rests on a front line that has been among the most productive at the tournament.
