AFCON 2025: NFF, Egypt in talks over new date for Super Eagles friendly

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) are currently engaging in high-level discussions to reschedule the proposed international friendly between the Super Eagles and the Pharaohs.

The match was initially slated for Sunday, 14 December, at the Cairo International Stadium, but FIFA’s adjustment to the player-release window for AFCON 2025 has disrupted the fixture.

Under the new directive, European-based players can only report to camp from 15 December, making the original date unworkable.
