Ademola Lookman rejects Napoli offer, holding out for Inter move

Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman has turned down a lucrative offer from Napoli as he remains focused on securing a move to Inter Milan, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Napoli had revived their interest in the Nigerian international and reportedly tabled a contract offer worth €5 million per season, an amount that exceeds Inter’s current proposal of €4.5 million annually.

Despite the improved financial package, Lookman is said to have made it clear that his preference is a switch to the San Siro.

Reports suggest that Lookman has already reached a verbal agreement with Inter on a deal running until 2030, with salary increases built into the contract.

Negotiations between Inter and Atalanta are ongoing, with the Nerazzurri pushing to reduce the €50 million asking price.

According to transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, performance-related bonuses are expected to play a key role in finalising the deal.

Meanwhile, Napoli, who have already secured Noa Lang and Lorenzo Lucca, are still in the market for another winger.

However, Lookman is no longer a viable option as he continues to hold out for Inter.

The 26-year-old contributed significantly to Atalanta’s attacking output over the past two seasons and is now prioritising a move to a club competing for major honours domestically and in Europe.
