Actor Okemesi in coma following complications from drugs

Nollywood comic actor and content creator Bamidele Tope Saint, popularly known as Okemesi, has reportedly fallen into a coma following complications from medication administered during a previous hospital treatment.

The development was disclosed by fellow actor Jeff Owolewa, also known as Tony Montana, in an Instagram post on Monday night.

This comes just days after Okemesi moved into a new apartment reportedly rented for him through public support. The actor had earlier sought financial assistance after battling an illness that left him homeless.

According to Jeff Owolewa, Okemesi was recently re-hospitalized after experiencing complications allegedly linked to drugs given during earlier treatment.

He further claimed that the actor was turned away by several hospitals before eventually being readmitted to the initial facility where he had previously received care and was discharged last week.

Jeff stated that Okemesi is currently in a coma and appealed to Nigerians for prayers and financial support to aid his treatment.

Jeff said …

“Guys, Okemesi has been hospitalised again. He was sleeping all through Saturday and Sunday without having much appetite for food due to complications from the drugs that were given to him from the hospital when he was discharged last week.

“I rushed to his house very early on Monday to take him to hospital. He was rejected in different hospitals including a government hospital in Igodo, the doctor refused to attend to him saying there’s no bed space. I have to take him back to the first private hospital that started his treatment. So they admitted him, and stabilised him.

“His breathing is improving. So, he has been in coma since Monday morning. They have placed him on oxygen. We’re all praying that he gets back on track.”
