Abia APC chairman accuses Governor Otti of mismanagement, betrayal
The Abia State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chijioke Chukwu, has strongly criticized Governor Alex Otti, accusing his administration of poor performance and political betrayal.
Speaking at a recent gathering, Chukwu alleged that the state remains “highly mismanaged,” claiming that budget allocations meant for infrastructure and capital projects have not been effectively utilized.
He further argued that Governor Otti, who was previously associated with the APC before winning the governorship, benefited from the party’s groundwork but later distanced himself from those who supported his emergence.
The APC chairman also accused the governor of sidelining local supporters after assuming office, alleging that he brought in individuals unfamiliar with the state’s grassroots political structure.
Chukwu expressed disappointment in the governor’s leadership, stating that many residents feel misled by his administration.
He said in part …
“He has 75% to do infrastructure and take care of the people. If you have 70% for capital project, and you have used less than 30% to do captial projects, have you done well? [People chant No]. And that is why anytime I speak to people, I say listen, forget about social media noise, Abia is highly mismanaged. It is just that our people are not well informed.
Lemme tell you people, Otti was with APC few months before he became governor. He benefited from your [APC members] hard work.
Even PDP betrayed themselves out of anger to make sure he becomes governor, and immediately he became governor, he abandoned everybody that worked for him. And went to Lagos and brought strangers who do not even know the number of their polling units.
Na when him win him understand say Una no go school. Na then him understand say Politicians are not straightforward people. Him na technocrat. First f00l no be f00l, na second f00l be proper f00l.
The governor has deceived us enough…”
