“A whole year without NEPA light!” — Nigerian lady celebrates return of electricity
A Nigerian lady identified as @assiztpro has celebrated the return of electricity to her home after allegedly spending a year without public power supply.
In a post shared on social media (X), she said the prolonged power outage meant she could not use a fridge or freezer during the period.

“A whole year without NEPA light! No fridge, no freezer. 😂” she wrote.
She said electricity was restored at her residence the previous night, describing the experience as a reminder of how much people can endure.
“We finally had electricity last night, and honestly, if someone had told me I would survive this long without using a fridge, I wouldn’t have believed them,” she added.
The lady said her solar power system helped her household cope with the situation, although it was not powerful enough to run the fridge.
“All thanks to our solar that kept us going, even though it couldn’t power the fridge. Alhamdulillah! ❤️ Adupe lowo olorun oo,” she wrote.
