“7 hours in class with no money…” – Peller drops out of University

Nigerian TikTok star and streamer Habeeb “Peller” Hamzat has dropped out of Caleb University just days after resuming academic activities.
His decision, revealed in a viral voice note, has sparked discussions across social media.
Struggling With Traditional Lectures
Peller expressed frustration over the traditional classroom setup. In the viral voice note, he lamented spending hours in lectures without any immediate financial benefit.
He said: “I will now sit inside class for like seven hours and be writing and looking? And play play not making anything? God forbid.”
The streamer suggested that the effort of attending lectures felt unproductive compared to his work as a content creator.
Feeling Out of Place Among Older Students
Another factor behind Peller’s decision was his perception of age differences in the classroom.
He joked about feeling out of place among older students and implied that he might return only after growing older.
“When I entered the school I see that everybody is old, so me too I need to get old like 30 or 40 years before I go,” he said
Mental Fatigue and Need for a Break
Peller also highlighted mental fatigue as a reason for his departure. He emphasized that the classroom environment was overwhelming, suggesting a complete break from academics was necessary for his well-being.
Uncertainty About Formal Withdrawal
It remains unclear whether Peller has officially withdrawn from Caleb University or simply stopped attending lectures.
