“50 litres of fuel, live goat, suit” – Man cries out over church’s alleged wedding demand list

A Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after sharing an alleged list of items a church reportedly requires from couples before their wedding ceremony.
The man, identified as Oyeniran John on Facebook, posted an image of the alleged requirements and questioned the church behind the list.

Man shares alleged church wedding requirements
The document, titled “CHURCH DEMAND LIST,” contains several items and payments that couples are allegedly expected to provide before their wedding.
Among the listed requirements are food and drinks for church workers, fuel for the generator, transportation for the General Overseer, and other provisions.
Food, cash and logistics listed
According to the document, the first requirement is food for the church, divided into three categories.
For the band, the church allegedly requested an “Icooler of rice,” 24 crates of soft drinks and ₦30,000.
For ministers, the list reportedly demands packaged food, two crates of soft drinks and ₦10,000 each for 10 ministers.
The musicians are also expected to receive food, two crates of soft drinks and ₦5,000 each.
The document further states that these items must be presented before the wedding ceremony, warning that the music and sound system will not be turned on if the requirements are not met.

i. Food for band (Icooler of rice, 24 crates of mineral and N30,000
ii. Packaged food for ministers, 2 crates of mineral,

The post has since generated mixed reactions on social media, with many users expressing surprise at the alleged wedding requirements for intending couples.
However, Oyeniran John did not disclose the identity of the church where the alleged demand list originated.
