During the stop and search, law enforcement officers allegedly discovered a Brownie Pistol with breach No. PZ1833, along with nine rounds of 6mm ammunition, and a POS machine in his possession.

In his initial statement to the police, Francis Okoye Obinna reportedly confessed that the gun was given to him by an individual named Emma in Lagos.

He claimed Emma entrusted him with the weapon to confront a certain Mr. Paul Okoye, whom he accused of using mystical means to kill his father in Anambra State.

Responding to the gravity of the accusation, police operatives undertook a trip to Lagos to verify the veracity of Obinna’s claims.

However, their investigations yielded contradictory findings, casting doubt on the authenticity of the suspect’s narrative.

The Edo State Police Command has emphasized that investigations are ongoing to ascertain the true motives behind Francis Okoye Obinna’s possession of the gun and the POS machine, as well as to determine their intended use.
