2027: “Northern votes will decide Tinubu’s second-term win” – Primate Ayodele

Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has shared his thoughts on President Bola Tinubu’s second-term ambitions, stressing that northern Nigerians will play a decisive role in the outcome.
According to the cleric, President Tinubu’s political fate does not rest solely with the Yoruba, but rather depends significantly on support from voters from the Northern region.
“Northerns have not started with Tinubu, they are the ones that will decide his future. One billion Yorubas cannot decide that Tinubu should win. The northerners are the ones to decide,” he said.
He added that all the noise being made by Tinubu’s supporters in the southwest, including the CityBoys Movement, will not guarantee victory.
Primate Ayodele emphasised that regional support alone cannot secure victory, highlighting the decisive influence of northern votes in national politics.
“Their decision is to make him not to win. All this noise you are making in Yoruba, come out with city boys. Come out with any boys you want to come out with.
City boys will not make you win. Fifty-six boys will not make you win. The northerners will decide the future of Tinubu’s second term,” Ayodele said.
