2027 Election: “After second term, he’ll attempt third” – Sunday Igboho backs Tinubu, sends warning to opposition

Yoruba nation activist Sunday Igboho has openly declared his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while warning opposition politicians against bringing their campaigns to the Southwest region.
In a viral statement circulating on social media, Igboho backed Tinubu for a second term in office, insisting that no other presidential candidate should be presented in the Southwest ahead of 2027 elections.
The activist also mentioned the names of opposition figures, warning their supporters not to bring them to the region during elections.
“Tinubu, for 2nd term, don’t bring any, and when he finishes 2nd term, we will attempt 3rd term and more. Don’t bring your stupid Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar to Southwest,” he said.
The statement quickly sparked debate online, with some Nigerians supporting his stance while others criticised the comments and questioned the idea of a third term in Nigeria’s political system.
As the video clip continues to circulate online, Nigerians have been sharing mixed reactions, debating the implications of Igboho’s remarks and what they could mean for future political campaigns in the Southwest.
