2027 Election: Adeleke reaffirms support for Tinubu following Osun governorship victory

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in the 2027 presidential election after securing re-election as governor of the state.
Speaking during a press briefing, Adeleke expressed his appreciation to Tinubu for his support for a free and fair election while addressing his victory in the Osun governorship election.

The governor described Tinubu as a son of Osun State and praised the president for his role in ensuring a credible electoral process.
“I must deeply appreciate Mr. President, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his strong support for a free and fair election. Mr. President is a son of Osun State. I hereby reaffirm my earlier endorsement of him for a second term in the 2027 presidential election,” he stated.
The governor was declared the winner of the Osun governorship election after defeating his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Adeleke secured 511,067 votes, while Oyebamiji polled 444,815 votes, according to the final results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
His victory means Adeleke will continue as Osun State governor, while his renewed endorsement of Tinubu adds to the political conversations surrounding the 2027 presidential election.
