2026 WCQ playoffs: Osimhen arrives as Super Eagles camp hits full capacity, remaining Okoye
The Super Eagles camp in Rabat nears full capacity ahead of Nigeria’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff against Gabon, following the arrival of all invited players, including star striker Victor Osimhen.
Final arrivals complete the squad
Team officials confirmed on Tuesday evening that 23 players have now checked into camp, remaining Maduka Okoye. The late arrivals join their teammates for full training under head coach Eric Chelle at the Institut Royal de Formation des Cadres in Rabat.
Earlier updates indicated that 18 players, including Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, and Wilfred Ndidi, had already reported to camp.
The latest arrivals, led by Osimhen, ensure the squad is now almost complete as preparations intensify for the all-important clash with Gabon.

Focus shifts to Gabon playoff clash
The team held its first training session on Monday evening, focusing on tactical drills and fitness routines.
With the current squad, Chelle and his technical crew are expected to intensify match preparations ahead of the playoff.
Nigeria will face Gabon in a decisive one-off tie, with the winner advancing to the African playoff final on November 16, where they will meet either Cameroon or the Democratic Republic of Congo.
