2026 Ballon d’Or London: Ceremony Date and Host City Announced

The Ballon d’Or, the most prestigious and famous award in football, founded by France Football in 1956, will mark its 70th anniversary by conducting this year’s presentation in London, England, for the first time on October 26.
The award, presented yearly by France Football (owned by L’Équipe Group), has been co-organized with UEFA since 2024, and the symbolic choice of venue honors English footballer Stanley Matthews, the award’s initial winner 70 years ago.
The Ballon d’Or® continues to grow and reinforces its position as a worldwide prestigious brand by hosting its 70th edition in England’s capital and the United Kingdom.

As the European football season ends and the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaches, the question remains: who will succeed 2025 winners Aitana Bonmatí and Ousmane Dembélé?
More information about the media accreditation process and the list of nominees will be communicated in due course.
