2025 CWC: Alexander-Arnold sends message after key role in Real Madrid’s win

Trent Alexander-Arnold marked his first competitive win with Real Madrid by delivering a message of intent following the Spanish giants’ hard-fought 3-1 victory over Pachuca in the Club World Cup.
The England international, who recently made a high-profile switch from Liverpool to Madrid, put in a solid defensive display despite Los Blancos being reduced to 10 men after Raul Asensio’s early red card in the seventh minute.
Although Alexander-Arnold didn’t register a goal or assist, his positional awareness at the back helped Carlo Ancelotti’s side see out the win.
Taking to Instagram after the match, the 26-year-old posted images from the game with the caption: “First win in white! Hala Madrid.”
Real Madrid will next face RB Salzburg in their second group-stage fixture, with Alexander-Arnold expected to retain his starting place.
