2024 Olympics Qualifiers: Super Falcons coach Madugu assures team’s ready to face Ethiopia

Super Falcons interim coach Justine Madugu says the team’s ready for their upcoming clash against Ethiopia in the 2024 Olympics qualifiers.

The nine-time African champions had a 1-1 draw with Ethiopia in the first leg of the qualifiers held in Addis Ababa.

Both teams are gearing up for the reverse fixture, set to take place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

Madugu emphasized the determination of his team to improve upon the previous result.

“We were not too happy about the result of that first game. It’s unfortunate not to win the first leg, but we are equally realistic with ourselves.

“The girls have overcome those challenges and are really determined to make sure they are part of the Olympics next year,” Madugu said.

Meanwhile, the winner of this second-round tie will face either Cameroon or Uganda in the subsequent round of the qualifiers.
