13 years after, Jonathan pays tribute to former president Yar’adua

Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has paid tribute to his late predecessor, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, on the 13th anniversary of his death.

In a twitter post, Jonathan described his predecessor Yar’Adua as a “great and selfless leader” who was dedicated to promoting peace, justice and accountability in the country.

He also highlighted Yar’Adua’s commitment to a united and prosperous Nigeria, as well as his developmental strides during his tenure in office.

Jonathan went on to praise Yar’Adua’s leadership style, noting that he was a leader who lived above prejudice and treated everyone fairly.

He recalled his time working with Yar’Adua as his boss, describing the experience as pleasant and inspiring.

Today, we remember him for his life of selfless service, dedication and commitment to a united and prosperous nation,” Jonathan wrote.

“We will continue to remember him for his developmental strides and his commitment to the peace and progress of Nigeria.”
