Residents cart away valuable items as fire guts Next Cash and Carry supermarket in Abuja (Video)
Sad occurrence as fire razes the popular Next Cash and Carry supermarket in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
According to reports, the fire service operatives didn’t arrive at the scene of the unfortunate incident on time which resulted in a massive loss of valuable items.
A video however captures some residents carting away some worthwhile goods from the supermarket as the fire grew more intense.
Items like foams, drinks and so on were being moved by individuals. At this point, we can’t tell if the residents were only helping in their little capacity or if they took advantage of the unfavourable happening to steal from the mall.
