The president’s daughter, Fatima Buhari, has today tied the knot with Mallam Ya’u Gimba Kumo in her hometown in Daura, Katsina.
From the photos shared on social media, the wedding took place at Low Cost Jumu’at Mosque. Newsmen gathered report that there was heavy presence of joint security officials and armoured vehicles at the venue and the President’s home. However, this did not hinder worshippers and guests who trooped to the mosque to witness the ceremony.
Fatima is the second daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari’s first wife, Safinatu who died in 2006. She reportedly was widowed, but now starts a new phase as the fourth wife Mallam Ya’u Gimba Kumo, the former managing director and chief executive officer of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria.
