Nike are ready to agree a staggering $1billion kit deal with Manchester United despite the Old Trafford giant’s poor form this season.
Nike’s current contract with the Red Devils expires in 2015 and the sportswear giants are willing to pay through the nose to continue their long link-up.
A report in the Sunday Express claim the firm are ready to commit roughly £70m a year for a further 10 seasons.
That would add up to a huge £700m, roughly $1.1billion, windfall for the Premier League champions.
The substantial figures comfortably beat the current top kit tie-up – Real Madrid’s £31m-per-year contract w
